  • A building's location and orientation, including seasonal variations within the sun's position
  • Location of each opening in the fenestration scheme of the shading system
  • Varying lighting requirements of each given space
  • Defined glare control regions such as a desktop, artwork, or presentation screen

Our scheduling capabilities support programs of behavior, including:

  • Time of day - morning vs. afternoon
  • Day of the week - weekend vs. weekday
  • Custom defined events - holidays, maintenance modes 

Contextual Control Systems


A more advanced control system, contextual controls include the basic functionality of the Input system, while additionally creating a system of distributed intelligence. Within this system, each controller self manages its performance using real time sun tracking and programmed scheduling, to meet a specified set of environmental conditions.
